In less than 4 months, L.A. Veg Society has created an animal advocacy council that brings together leaders from Compassion Over Killing, Animal Acres, HSUS, Band of Mercy, VegFund, OCPA, and Evolotus PR to talk about creating measurable and more effective campaigns. We had a free PR training and we are going to have a free fundraising training at the next meeting. L.A. Veg Society has also hosted a business mixer and is providing vegan chefs to help UCLA add more vegan options to their dining halls. Our most exciting news is the hiring of Jessica Schlueter who is overseeing our effort to schedule humane educators to speak at colleges, schools, churches, synagogues, and community centers around the country. L.A. Veg Society was created to centralize resources and to work on large scale campaigns that promote veganism and animal rights.
